The mace crashed down again and again on the shield, trying to batter him into submission but the singing only picked up, so that it was loud enough to be heard about the sound of the weapons clashing. 	Frantically he stepped back, desperate to put some distance between himself and the Plateau-enraged orc. He tried to centre himself, seeking to master his fear and channel it into his weapon, but the mellifluous singing urged him to abandon his fear. He tried to blank it out, but it was too persistent, and he felt the ~~adrenalin~~ of the fight slipping away, but ~~rhymically~~, like a tide going out.		Frantically he stepped back, desperate to put some distance between himself and the Plateau-enraged orc. He tried to centre himself, seeking to master his fear and channel it into his weapon, but the mellifluous singing urged him to abandon his fear.
