Judgement 19

  • Assembly: Dawn National
  • Raised By: Ser Thomas Aurelius
  • Judgement: Acts of Glory do not begin and end on the battlefield, we can serve as an inspiration to the people when we recover our strength: practice music, produce art, tell tales, sing songs, love deeply! When we look to our heritage, look beyond the end of the rod or tip of the spear for we are the heart of the Empire - so we must spread love.
  • Outcome: Upheld (114-20)

Judgement 21

  • Assembly: Brass Coast National
  • Raised By: Hembeneth i Guerra

As a relic of the Brass Coast and Highguard history we consider it virtuous to assist Sagua in this endeavour. Learning from our history is an act of Wisdom and valuing our heritage is an act of Pride. Returning the ring to the Empire is an act of Loyalty.

I call on any Stormcrows who are not regularly making full use of their powers to give weapons and shields to their congregation and encourage them to fight as a military unit, engaging in virtuous causes such as the retaking of Sermersuaq and fighting slavery.

This is not defined by the dirt beneath our feet. We seek knowledge, mastery over ourselves and the wider world, and Ambition drives us onwards to ever greater heights. We act with virtue in all circumstances. Do not fear the Labyrinth. Anything in this life is nothing set against the eternity of Paragonhood which is our destiny. We shape our own future. Fuck the Druj.
  • Outcome: Upheld (71 - 0)

Judgement 70

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Calpurnia of the Scarlet Guard

We have been brought here by many individuals and nations acting to fulfill their own desires over the good of the Empire. I call upon you to recognise the size of the threat with Vigilance; to recognise how our own actions - or inaction - contributed, learn from that with Wisdom, and then act with Courage, Pride, and Ambition to offer aid to Urizen and preserve the Empire. Last winter he fought to hold the Onyx Path from Spiral. In Spring he and his company stood with us in Zenith. In Summer, hearing of our losses, he brought his company to strengthen us as we went through the Sentinel Gate, protecting us when we returned to Spiral. Although Dawnish, he is a friend to the Urizen nation, and we recognise and appreciate his example of Loyalty extending across the nations of the Empire.
  • Outcome: Upheld (71 - 0)

Judgement 76

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Yarona of the Chantry

  • Outcome: Upheld (843 - 20)

Judgement 82

  • Assembly: Highguard National
  • Raised By: Absalom
  • Judgement: The Highguard National Assemby wishes to recognise the Loyalty displated by the priests here named in their support of the Highguard nation, in their pilgrimage of the trods to fight the vallorn, Rane Sheardring, Skywise Tulva, Amuis Nikephoros, Romunda Remys, Immeloari i Ezmaria i Erigo, Sister Meredith, Father Nikolovitch, Corey Wayfarer, Enrybia Mclumas di Tassata. • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Daubravka Nadijaovna Vanek
  • Judgement: We the priests of the Empire denounce any as unloyal to the faith if they reject the authority of the Synod or that Bastion is the heart of the Way. We have substantial proof that Bastion is the heart of the Way. The current claims of the Sumaah Republic that it is not are unfounded.
  • Outcome: Upheld (685 - 138)

Judgement 84

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Bloodcrow Ergot
  • Judgement: I hold with Pride that this motion will enable the Empire to free itself from the shackles of proxy slavery and strengthen our alliance with anti-slavery nations. Motion by Bloodcrow Ergot: This motion will make an amendment to the constitution. In the senate section at the end of the following sentence "The Senate will assume responsibiity for reations with other nations" insert the following "ensuring that prosperity is not at freedom's cost." Prosperity is defined as Imperial Trade with foreign nations and freedom is the guarantee to their people to not be subjected to slavery by their nation.
  • Outcome: Upheld (427 - 330)

Judgement 87

  • Assembly: Varushka National
  • Raised By: Irina Vasillova Dukov
  • Judgement: We send Irina vasillova Dukov as a confessor and spiritual liason to the Generals of Varushka to aid them in spiritual matters and to report on actions of the military council to the National Assembly.
  • Outcome: Upheld (68 - 0)

Judgement 88

  • Assembly: Prosperity Virtue
  • Raised By: Edna of the Chantry
  • Judgement: We the Prosperity assessment deem the building of the Cinderpath Exchange is a virtuous endeavour as although it removes material from the public auction it will increase those in the Empire as a whole.
  • Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (152 - 12)

Judgement 93

  • Assembly: Nine
  • Raised By: Sariel
  • Judgement: We recognise Sumaah's challenge of the truth and to our pride, and in virtue we will rise to meet it. We are custodians of the Way. The Way was founded in Bastion, it was our Exemplar Mani who first refined liao, and our first Empress who joined us together in Virtue. Sumaah only follows in our footsteps. The citizens of the Empire should continue to uphold the teachings of the Way as preached by the Imperial Synod, so that we may be a beacon of virtue to all. We call for priest to go to Zemeh to share the true way.
  • Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (5 - 0)

Judgement 94

  • Assembly: Nine
  • Raised By: Irada von Temeschwar
  • Judgement: I ask the Silent Bell to investigate the Heirs of Terunael. They are in Brocéliande and state they are living in "symbiosis" with the vallorn. They appear to be idolising Yaw'nagrah and are lead by a charismatic leaer. I ask you to find all you can on them, including who leads them, how they have come to be, their previous location and reach, and how we could stop them and their work.
  • Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (5 - 0)

Judgement 95

  • Assembly: Nine
  • Raised By: Viviane de Courdefer
  • Judgement: Ambition's burning flame ascends to Frederick's legacy - he wants to build. For me he calls to set guiding light, a clarion call to all I say so shall I be. Granite white is precious rare. Too many ways to use it all. So says Wisdom's counting Throne. What will it cost? What will your greatest work, created by my will cost the Empire in exchange? This then we need - I need. I need to know what one creation is greater yet than all that part-completed stand? Can Frederick defeat time's hungry grasp? Give to me your knowledge and your art. Give to me your tomorrows all your skill; a world of learning, to rebuild our long-lost legacy. Those who learn not, those who forget, are doomed to live again our pain. So let us learn and let us grow. Build me wonder, build me song, build me college univeresal; let our spirits leave this world but not our skill. Bring students and bring scholars. Bring all our minds together, inspirational. So shall it be, to all I say - a clarion call for empire's good; for virtue guards our souls. Ambition's flame will always forge tomorrow greater than today. I call for designs for ten library-colleges, one in every nation, to store duplicate books; and to teach students of the Way, or war, of history and the past, of architecture for the future - and for Freerick to teach as Adelmar the lion did; that knowledge be built higher and future generations have to tools to build even greater.
  • Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (6 - 0)

Judgement 96

  • Assembly: Prosperity Virtue
  • Raised By: Gilah, Daughter of the Chantry
  • Judgement: Gilah, daugher of the Chantry, with the support of the Prosperity assembly travel to Calvos Sound in Madruga and perform insight on the Kraken's Bane. If no true consecration of prosperity is on the flagship of the Exemplar Zemress then with a dose of true liao I will consecreate the Kraken's Bane, Inspirational vessel, which is the template for all ships sailed by the Corsairs. Let this shrine spiritually bolster all those that follow in her actions in raiding the Grendel, and guide pilgrims across the world in opposing slavery.
  • Outcome: Upheld with Greater Majority (152 - 0)

Evaluation

The Synod made the following judgements of excommunication, inquisition, revocation, and sanction.

Judgement 3

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Veikko Bondforger
  • Judgement: Condemnation. Following the inquisition of the Asavean Architect Almodin Oktisis I conclude the following: the crime of idolatry is defined as worship, veneration or exaltation of any inhuman entity or force. That Oktisis is an idolater is not in question, he assured me quite unrepentantly that he would continue to use idolatrous imagery (hidden or otherwise) in structures of our Fatih. That cannot be overlooked by the Synod, show duty is the preservation of the Way.
  • Outcome: Upheld (1129 - 10)

  • Outcome: Upheld (98 - 0)

Judgement 67

  • Assembly: General
  • Raised By: Corwyn Leafstalker
  • Judgement: Vindication. Regarding the Inquisition of Bohemond de Rondel, through investigation and inquisition I find it very unlikely that the alleged "kill list" ever existed. Bohemond appears to be competent an if he were to be assassinating fellow citizens I don't believe he'd be so sloppy to get caught this way. As regards the public statement of him working against the Empress on the matter under consideration at the time he was. However I do not currently believe he is a threat to the Empress or Empire. Having said all that Bohemond is a smooth operator and I suspect entirely capable of pleading clemency for killing his parents on grounds of being an orphan. I rather like the man.
