Overview

The Imperial Advisor for the Feni is an Imperial Title appointed by the Senate. The title was created during the Spring Equinox 383YE.

Responsibilities

The purpose of the Imperial Advisor for the Feni is to diplome with the Feni, and to use the power of historical research in their dealings with them.

Constitutional Note

The Constitutional Court have pointed out that while the Advisor has a responsibility to engage in diplomacy with the Feni, they have not been given the legal power associated with an Ambassador. The Imperial Consul remains responsible for receiving delegations and preparing treaties with the Feni.

Power

Historical Research

The Imperial Advisor for the Feni has the power to authorise historical research requests. The civil service is able to process up to two research requests in total per season - research requests authorised by the Senate, the Imperial Advisor, the Advisor on the Vallorn, and the Minister of Historical Research all count against this limit.

To use their power, the Advisor must make an announcement in the Imperial Senate. No voting is possible by the Senate at this point, as the power had been delegated to the Advisor.

The Imperial Synod, or The Throne, may choose to exercise their veto over the Advisor's announcement.

Appointment

The Imperial Advisor for the Feni is an Imperial position appointed by the Senate. Any Imperial citizen can hold this title. The Imperial Advisor serves for a year, and they can be revoked by the General Assembly and by the Assembly of the Nine.
