GOD 2026 E2 specials

This page lists things that are likely to affect GOD crew, because they're special for this event and change how we normally do things.

This doesn't try to cover everything in the Winds of Fortune: sometimes players ask for information about conjunctions, or about how certain titles or opportunities work. There are things we might be able to help with, but they're not covered here because they don't fundamentally change how GOD processes work.

General event information

This is the Spring Equinox 388YE. This event, dusk is TBC. Bows and crossbows cannot be used in Anvil after TBC, and cannot be used on quests that start after TBC.

Character packs

Rod and Shield

• Rod and Shield in the Commonwealth - a list of players who emailed in will be receiving a traumatic wound and random piece of vis in their pack.

Congregations

• Vigilance in Sarvos - League and Highguard players were able to take an action that tried to uncover an espionage ring. They get no liao unless from an enchantment or great work and are put in the Vigilance Assembly. There's no further reward - no report due

Businesses

• Chain and anchor - Players with businesses in Tassato, Sarvos, or Madruga were given two random consumables; these are already in their inventory/packs. They might hand them back in; there's nothing else that needs to be done - nothing to mark down or record.

Magic

Whispering Shadow Courtiers

• Info provided directly from plot-writer (Tom G)
• Monarchs and outcasts#Tyrannical Discipline where this is seeded
• If ritualist adds 1 iridescent gloaming and a poem by a Steinr, with the poet taking part in the ritual, then they receive extra results
  • Poet does not have to be a ritual contributor, just take part in the roleplay and report to the ref with the ritualist afterwards
  • Each poet can only be used once, but ritualists can do this multiple times with different poets if they like
  • Caster receives normal WSC scroll, the 3 crystal fire, and a written letter (stack to be provided to refs and GOD by Tom)
• Record the PID of the poet in the notes.
• Ideally a written copy of the poem is provided
  • If so then write the ritual ID, caster PID, and poet PID on the poem
    • Bag up all the poems and they will be picked up at the end of the event
  • If no written copy provided then ask for one to be emailed into plot@profounddecisions.co.uk after the event, add a note to that effect on the ritual, and give the players the ritual ID to reference in the email

Tribute to the Thrice-cursed Court

• Info provided directly from plot-writer (Dale)
• Monarchs and outcasts#Bound by Obligation (Tharim) where this is seeded
• Varushkan PCs that perform this ritual and provide a bloodied handprint in the box submitted in the ritual will receive an additional item when the box is returned.
  • 'A bloodied handprint' can be anything that bears a handprint in something that (hopefully only) looks like blood: sheets of paper, fabric, whatever - as long as something bloody is smuggled in the box this works.
  • The item returned is named 'a bloody twig': an example of this item that can be used to make copies is #55881
    • It is not expected more than 5 people will take up this offer.
    • 15 ribbons initially exist on the system - ID numbers 55881 to 55895 inclusive
    • 10 ribbons will given to the ref tent
    • 5 ribbons will be kept in the GOD tent
• The item returned is a boon from Agramant and so is very illegal. Some discretion in how the box that is handed over is initially examined and how it is returned to the caster might be required.
  • For example: not checking the box contents in front of people, making sure the box is returned to only the caster of the ritual, etc.

Ephisis' Scale

Apulian characters

• Characters whose personal resource is in the city of Apulian can gain a couple of different bonuses, detailed below (Our elaborate plans)
  • Personal resources are only recorded at Territory level. Anyone whose resource is in Spiral is free to determine whether or not it is in Apulian - if it is then they may benefit from these effects
  • Effects below may refer to 5 "personae" or "thrones" - these are defined elements of League dramaturgy, and details are given in the Source link above
    • The 5 personae available are the Witch, Captain, Bishop, Doctor, and Prince (The Mountebank may not be used)
    • The 5 thrones available are the Garden, Battlefield, Counting House, Tomb, and Library (The Chamber may not be used)

Apulian Location Auras

• Characters from Apulian can gain, for their tent or camp, a location aura for one of the 5 thrones
  • They must consciously chooses to embellish their camp in a way intended to invoke a throne
  • There should be a supply of these Location auras available in the central area Ref Tent

Apulian Night Mages

• Night mages from Apulian can gain extra ranks of Night magic
  • All gained ranks are subject to the normal rules for maximum effective skill (i.e. may not exceed a total effective rank of 3 times the base level, as determined by the skills actually bought with XP)
  • Any qualifying character with at least 1 rank of Night lore gains 1 additional rank for the duration of the event
    • If, while casting the ritual, they wear a mask depicting one of the 5 personae then they gain a 2nd additional rank when casting Night rituals that create shrouds
      • e.g. Drawing the Penumbral Veil, Incantation's Mystic Mask
    • If, while casting a ritual, they employ props or set dressing that evokes one of the five thrones then they gain a 2nd additional rank when casting divination Night rituals
      • Known qualifying rituals: Dreams in the Witch House, Secrets of the Soul's Desire, Shadowed Glass of Sung, and Signs and Portents

Apulian Spiritual Strength

• Characters from Apulian can choose to draw on the power of one of the 5 personae as a source of spiritual strength to resist a roleplaying effect, by instead embracing the roleplaying associated with this intensification of the personae
  • They can do this at any time during the event, as many times as they wish
  • If they do this then they must use the same persona every time

Others

Push for victory

• Push for victory - People in Dawn, Imperial Orcs, and Wintermark can change their resource to a military unit of an equivalent level if a mandate is enacted, but only after the event. Yes, this means they can't get enchanted this event. They need to email plot@ after the event.

Urizen in Spiral

• Construct the Dreaming Spire - Urizen characters can take a new resource in Spiral for free until end of downtime. Remind them that it won't retain levels or enchantments.
