The camp coordinator is the Profound Decisions member of crew responsible for the layout, security, and tidiness of a nation's camp. Not all nations will have PD members of crew in these positions, but we are looking at replacing our existing player volunteer camp planners with full-time camp coordinators in each nation as those spots become vacant.

===Security Point===
During the event they operate as part of the security team by being available on a radio until time out each night. Any member of the nation can report a security incident to them so that they can deal with it if it is very minor - or call for security if not. They are not a referee, but are able to radio a call for a referee if needed. If the nation includes any in-character taverns they will ensure that the tavern is following our code of conduct.

The camp coordinators are not expected to act as members of the conduct team - but they will have a radio and be available to report any appropriate matters to the conduct team quickly and effectively. They are expected to work with security to help ensure that all participants behave themselves appropriately throughout the event.

Overview

The camp planner is the Profound Decisions member of crew responsible for the layout, security, and tidiness of a nation's camp.

Responsibilities

Camp Planning

The camp planner will liaise with the players in their nation and with the other camp planners to create the intended camp layout for the event. This will include planning where any rented tents go, making sure players are aware of accessibility options, and making sure members of the PD team are informed of any accessibility needs that players have raised.

Camp Organisation

Camp planners need to be on site from noon on Thursday at the latest so that they can direct players to the relevant spot. They will work with the site team to ensure that rental tents are in the right spot, to deal with any minor problems, and to report in any major site problems before or during the event.

Cleanliness

Immediately after time-out on Sunday, the camp coordinator will tour the camp handing out bin-bags and reminding everyone of the relevant details for clearing their camp (sweeping their camp for rubbish, bagging all rubbish and putting the bags in the skip, and moving unused firewood back to the wood store). They will work with the egregore team to remind players to keep the camp clean during the day.

Chain of Command

During set-up and or take-down, the camp planner should refer any problems they experience to the head of the site team or to Alison Pennington if it is a major emergency. During the event they can report any concerns to Alison Pennington or Matt Pennington (as appropriate) during the day or to Steve Tiernan, the head of security during the night.

In-character Limitations

The camp coordinator is an event crew role, so they are covered by all the existing limitations for site crew. We expect the camp planner to be in-character and be able to roleplay freely for most of the event. This means they are expected to support the game but they are allowed to break Imperial laws and to accept an Imperial title. Camp planners who are politically active in their nation must take care not to abuse their role and implicit authority to enhance their in-character position.
