Murder and slavery The accused is a mine owner in Varuska who has been working slaves in the mine and regularly sacrificing them to Bas Celik in exchange for protection. He was identified by Irontide Flax as being the person pointed out by one of his victims while dying. Furthermore during a ritual to summon his grandmother’s shade she revealed both the murderous arrangement with Bas Celik and that the accused had been keeping slaves. Anfesa of Varushka originally pleaded not guilty but changed his plea following his grandmother’s testimony and pleaded guilty. Death by execution.

Other evidence that was eventually gathered suggested that Tess murdered Harry on behalf of Irra Harah, who had ordered his death, along with three other imperial citizens. Tess fled the to the Spring Realm prior to her trial. Tess, former Head of Constabulary in the Anvil Militia. No plea was entered as the accused was tried in absentia. The accused was found guilty and sentenced to death in absentia.

Possession of Bite The accused bought bite from Maximus, an associate, and then slipped it into the drink of Thorn, a friend, with no warning.Note further investigations are ongoing with regards to the supply of the drug by Maximus and the poisoning of Thorn. Aron of the Levy pleaded guilty without clemency.
Guilty.
Fined two crowns.
Perverting the course of justice and resisting arrest The accused was questioned about the secret location of the Rookery in connection with the investigations into the murder of Captain Hardfrost and Magistrate Murcello by the Rookwoods. The accused denied knowing where the Rookery was and claimed to have no involvement in the murder or subsequent escape. When the militia subsequently located the Rookery with the help of House Vexille and conducted a raid, the accused was found there. The accused resisted arrest along with the other wanted murderers from the House and was the only one who retained sufficient connection to the empire to be brought back through the gate for trial. The murderers were summarily executed at the scene. Thomas Rookwood Martel pleaded guilty and declined clemency. Guilty. Death by execution.
