Overview

To attend a Profound Decisions Empire event in 2022 you will need to have an appropriate government issued COVID pass or a negative COVID test result. We will check everyone who arrives on the gate. If you cannot meet the criteria for entry, you will not be permitted to enter the event.

We will require this proof throughout 2022, regardless of whether government-imposed restrictions are in place. This means that the best way to ensure that you can definitely attend all our events this year is to be vaccinated if you are able. Otherwise, you will be required to take a test before each event and will be unable to attend if it is positive.

Additional COVID safety measures will be in place for all events in 2022, we will review some of these measures before each event and update them based on the current situation.

Using a COVID Pass

  • You can attend events in 2022 if you have a valid COVID pass and have not newly tested positive for COVID in the last seven days

Most countries have created a COVID pass system or equivalent so that people who have been vaccinated can quickly and easily prove their status.

Covid passes are issued by the country you are resident in. The criteria for COVID passes vary from country to country, so please make sure that you check the relevant government website carefully. We have listed links for the United Kingdom and the major British Crown Dependencies in the table on this page. If you're coming from elsewhere, please check the travel rules for your country of origin carefully and email us if you have any questions.

Pre-registration of Vaccination Status

  • If you are fully vaccinated please consider registering your vaccination status with us in advance of the event
  • Pre-registering your vaccination status will make the gate process quicker and easier for everyone
  • You can pre-register now provided you can obtain a COVID pass which is valid for 30 days or more
  • If you are unable to access a COVID pass then you can send a copy of your vaccination cards as proof of your status

Some COVID pass systems allow you to obtain proof of your vaccination status as a PDF document, letter, or equivalent. If you have one of these, we encourage you to email a copy, scan or photo to the admin team up to one week before the event begins. Please include your unique PID (player id number) in the email if you know it. This will mean you won't need to have your status checked on the gate, making the entry queue process quicker.

You can pre-register your COVID pass now, provided you can obtain a pass that is valid for 30 days or more then we will accept that for the events this year. A few players have found their pass is only valid for two days, which we can't accept. If that happens, try downloading the app to your mobile and using that rather than the website if you can. Alternatively you may be able to download the earlier NHS app and send us a screenshot of that.

If you are completely unable to obtain a COVID pass, then in that circumstance we will accept a photograph or scan of your completed vaccination card or cards as proof if you wish to send that instead.

We will send you an email to confirm registration of your COVID pass. Once you've received this acknowledgement from us, you won't need to bring any further proof of your vaccination status on the day. You must bring proof with you to show at the gate if you do not receive a positive response from us.

Head office staff will leave for site one week before the event begins, so you will not be able to pre-register your vaccination status after this date. Please note that you can only use pre-registration if you are fully vaccinated. You cannot preregister your status a week before the event using a COVID test.

Using a COVID Test

  • All participants are encouraged to test for COVID using an LFT before setting off for the event
  • If you are not using a COVID pass then you must complete a negative test within the last 24 hours before your arrival
  • You must take a COVID test and report the results before setting off for the event
  • We cannot supply lateral flow (LFT) COVID test kits on the gate

All participants who are attending an event in 2022 are encouraged to test for COVID using an LFT before setting off for the event. This is not mandatory if you have an appropriate COVID pass, but it is still beneficial to all participants for everyone to take a test even if they are fully vaccinated.

If you are not vaccinated and your country of residence does not provide an option to obtain a COVID pass using a COVID test, then you must take an appropriate COVID test. You must complete the test in the 24 hours before setting off for the event.

If you are taking an LFT COVID test in the UK, then you must report the results. You will need to show the text or email you receive at the gate when you arrive.

There will not be COVID tests available on the gate. You must acquire your own test and complete it before you arrive.

If You Test Positive For COVID

  • Do not attend the event if you have newly tested positive for COVID in the last seven days
  • If you are booked for the event email us to let us know you cannot attend due to COVID
  • After the event, your ticket will be fully refunded. You will still receive XP and be eligible for downtime as usual

If you newly test COVID positive at any point in the seven days before the event begins then you must not attend the event. Please email admin to let us know that you are unable to attend due to COVID. If you email us before the end of the event on Sunday, we will switch your booking to complimentary. The entire cost of your ticket will be fully refunded to your account, but you will still qualify as having attended, so you will still be eligible to submit a downtime and receive XP benefits as if you had attended the event normally.

If You Have New Symptoms

  • You must take a COVID test if you have any new symptoms, even if you are vaccinated

If you develop any new and unexplained symptoms on the run-up to the event, you must take an LFT and receive a negative result before you attend the event.

If you develop any of the above symptoms while you are at the event, then you will need to isolate until you can take an LFT. If this test is positive then you must go home as soon as it is practical to do so and make all reasonable attempts to isolate until then. If this happens then let us know as soon as possible and we will switch your booking to complimentary. The entire cost of your ticket will be fully refunded to your account, but you will still qualify as having attended, so you will still be eligible to submit a downtime and receive XP benefits as if you had attended the event normally.

Under 16s

  • Young children are not expected to take a COVID test - in this case their parent or guardian will need to take a test instead

We do not expect children who are under 11, or children for whom COVID testing is distressing, to take a test - in this case we will ask the accompanying parents or guardians to provide proof of a negative test that they have taken instead. This means that if you are attending with children who has not been vaccinated, and are not able to complete a COVID test, then you will need to complete a COVID test instead.

If your child has been fully vaccinated then you may be able to obtain a COVID pass to preregister them so that you and your family can follow the normal procedures. If you're unable to obtain a COVID pass for your child then we will accept a photograph or scan of their completed vaccination card or cards as proof if you wish to send that instead. If you are coming from Scotland or another country that does not provide vaccination cards for children, then please contact us to discuss your options.

Travel and Camping

  • Try to share transport and camping logistics with members of your household group where practical
  • Make sure that everyone you are sharing transport to the event with has the appropriate COVID pass or COVID test result before embarking

We recommend that where possible you travel and camp in household groups. When this is not possible, you should consider what you will do if one of you develops COVID symptoms or tests positive for COVID during the event, and plan accordingly. Our player support team will do everything possible to help, but we cannot provide transport home. We will have a small number of spare tents available for people who are isolating, but these are intended as emergency backup for people who have no other option.
