A song by Lady Mercy Goldvein added to the Gallery of the First Voice by the Cat's Graces during the Summer Solstice 388YE.

Morning Light was chosen for its emotional and meaningful message to the nation of Dawn. It was written in the darkest days of recent Dawnish history, after the Sweetglade Massacre and the actions of Archavion Wolfborne. This piece was written to help push Dawn into a new, better era, so recent tragedies would not define the nation. The song was performed by Lady Mercy Goldvein to earn her title as the first Note of Dawn.

(Verse) In the light of misty morning When the dark has all but fled When the enemy’s been vanquished And the blood has all been shed When the flowers are sweetly blooming In the glorious rays of morn I will call to you my sweetness I will meet you in the Dawn

(Chorus) So let us fight for our tomorrows To see each lovely new sun rise Over love filled fields of roses For our Dawn, my love, arise

(Verse) I will wreath your brow in flowers Each a perfect golden rose So you may wear them on your journeys And with each step, our love will grow And one day, when you find glory And your quest is all but done We may lay in fields of flowers Basking in the shining sun

(Chorus) So let us fight for our tomorrows To see each lovely new sun rise Over love filled fields of roses For our Dawn, my love, arise
