Jewel of Anvil

Overview

The Jewel of Anvil is an Imperial title announced by Laughlan Vi Temeschwar as the Master of Rings in Autumn 387E. The position is a sinecure, requiring minimal responsibility but offering a regular income of profits.

Responsibilities

The Jewel of Anvil has a responsibility to perform and promote acts of Pride. In addition, if the distillery were to be threatened in any way, it would be the responsibility of the Jewel of Anvil to deal with those threats.

The Jewel of Anvil receives a total of one throne, two crowns, and sixteen rings each season from the distillery.

Appointment

The Jewel of Anvil is a Bourse position and is auctioned by the civil servants associated with the Bourse during the Spring Equinox summit.

The title may be held by any Imperial citizen. As an Imperial Bourse title, the Tender cannot be revoked by the Imperial Synod.

Superlative Distillery of Temeschwar

A stone-and-weirwood distillery stands just outside the walls of Temeschwar, at the downstream end of the Gancio so that wastewater flows away from the city, and so deliveries to and from the wider Empire are easy. Bright copper stills operate day and night, turning out enough "Temeschwar's Superlative Schnapps" of decent quality to supply Imperial territories on the river.

A tap-room allows visitors to purchase drinks directly and provides ample hosting space for the Jewel of Anvil to throw luxurious parties at their whim. Elaborate suites are provided to this year's Jewel, filled with luxurious amenities and subtle reminders that they deserve every single comfort afforded them here. In golden letters around the entrance hall the responsibilities of the Jewel of Anvil are embossed: "Perform and Promote acts of Pride".
