Smith of Ashes
Forge  of Ashes
In the north of Skarsind a Forge locally known as “The Fire At The Foot Of The Mountain” sits nestled beneath the northern face of the northpine mountain range in sothern Skogie Glen, the area is covered with small caves and Crevasses leading deep into the mountain some so deep that Magical Lava flows can be found. The forge building itself is a huge round room, with domed ceiling covered in mithril runes and pictures of orcish artisans hard at work, archways around the main work hall lead off into living quarters, kitchens and other auxiliary buildings. In the center of the domed ceiling is an opening about the size of a round shield designed  to let out the heat, each of the archways are lined with running water trofs containing channeled springwater coming down from the mountain, the water is clear as day and refreshing to drink. Between each of the archways there are 4 fully equipt work stations designed for the production of mundane weapons and armour with a 5th raised workstation equipped for Magical equipment production.
Magma is channeled deep from inside the mountain directly into the forge using mithril pipes set in stone giving the smiths a constant stream of superheated liquid rock to heat metal in. Rumour has it there is something magical under the mountain that keeps the magma heated and flowing it is believed this power is transferred into the weapons and armour when crafted. From time to time crystals can be seen inside the magma but are too fragile and crumble before they can be recovered, on the other hand the sparks and scale formed during the forging process are easily collected and can be used as a source of magic power. This dust can be stored either in small pouches or mixed with clay to form a nugget of mana.
Of the 4 mundane work stations in the forge hall 2 are Worked by profesional smiths whos creations are sold via the northern trade network to cover day to day costs, the remaining 2 are more often than not used to Aprentas young artisans who travel to Skarsind looking to better understand the art of orcish blacksmithing. The last alcove is reserved for the Smith of Ashes themselves, The oldest tools from across scarsind have been collected and stored here so there worth can be used to make better magic items and pass on some of their worth.
The Smith of Ashes is responsible for maintaining the flow of magma to the forged, keeping the smiths happy and ensuring the next generation of imperial orcs are well trained in the art of the blacksmith.
This Sinecure gives a bounty equivalent to X mana crystal mana collected from the Dust collected from the floor of the forge
----------------------------------------
The forge, nicknamed The Fire At The Foot Of The Mountain is rumoured to burn so bright and hot that it keeps the stone of the whole mountain warm to the touch. It's sheltered from the winds and snows by a nook in the rocks, which has in turn been worked to make a usable workspace; A large round room, with domed ceiling and a gaping opening in the wall for a doorway and good ventilation, is kept lit by a huge forge and bellows in the centre of the forge. The walls are laden with workbenches, anvils and other tools of the Artisan. The Forge-master, known as  The Smith of ashes oversees and apprentices aspiring young artisans with a talent for magical crafting. Every hammer strike sees a cascade of magically enriched sparks and flecks of metal into the hot coals and onto the floor below the feet of Orcish artisans. It was easy to overlook with such an amount of heat from the forge but as the forge is maintained and kept clean, The Forge Master eventually began to notice the swept ash, dust and metal filings never seem to entirely cool down…
