Overview
The Knight of Dawnguard is an Imperial title awarded to a citizen of Dawn. The motion to rebuild Drycastle was passed by the Imperial Senate in Summer 386YE. The Knight of Dawnguard is responsible for protecting the region of Dawnguard, the Barrens, from any threats that arise.

The Knight of Dawnguard has a responsibility to protect the region of Dawnguard from threats. If the region - or its inhabitants - were threatened, then it would be the responsibility of the Knight of Dawnguard to deal with those threats.
Powers
The Knight of Dawnguard is intended to be held by a noble: the task of defending an entire region from threats is not something considered suitable for a yeofolk. If the title is held by a character who is a yeofolk, or they somehow become one during their tenure, then the player must email admin@profounddecisions.co.uk to let us know to turn off production.
Errant's Wine
The apothecaries of Drycastle have committed to supporting the Knight of Dawnguard with two doses of Errant's Wine each season.

Appointment
The Knight of Dawnguard is appointed during the Summer Solstice each year. It is chosen by unanimous decision of the Dawn senators. If a unanimous decision cannot be reached, the title may be appointed by the Imperial Senate instead.
The title can be held by a Dawnish citizen. They can be revoked by the General Assembly, the Dawnish National Assembly, and by the Assembly of the Nine.
