Overview

The Reeve of Drycastle is an Imperial title awarded to a citizen of Dawn. The motion to rebuild Drycastle was passed by the Imperial Senate in Summer 386YE. The Reeve of Drycastle is responsible for seeing to the Prosperity of the town.

Responsibilities

The Reeve of Drycastle has a responsibility to ensure the prosperity of the town. They are expected to meet with visiting merchants, help settle disputes, and deal with any rowdiness that comes from trade.

Powers

Sizeable Income

The Reeve of Drycastle receives a seasonal income of 25 crowns from rents on buildings in the town and fees paid by visiting merchants.

Suitability
The Reeve of Drycastle is intended to be held by a yeofolk; the task of haggling over coins and ensuring good trade is unsuitable for a noble. If the title is held by a character who is a noble, or they become one during their tenure, then the player must email admin@profounddecisions.co.uk to let us know to turn off production.

Appointment

This title is appointed during the Summer Solstice. The Reeve of Drycastle is appointed by citizens of Dawn who control a military unit personal resource. The larger the military unit an individual has the more votes they can allocate in support to a candidate. The voting is handled by the civil servants in the Bourse.

Only a Dawnish citizen may hold the title. They do not receive a seat on the Bourse. As a title appointed through the Bourse they cannot be revoked by the Imperial Synod.
