Seeker of Quietitude
Overview
The Seeker of Quietitude is an Imperial title awarded to a citizen of Wintermark. The construction of the Garden of Peaceful Quietude was announced by Hilda Sirens Scream Ursan, as the Bearer of an Imperial Wayleave during the Spring Equinox 388YE.
The plans for the garden were presented shortly before the Winter Solstice 387YE as a means to produce zaboravi, with the assistance of the people of Tsark. The title is appointed by the National Assembly of Wintermark, and they have a responsibility to oversee the Garden of Peaceful Quietitude and help cultivate the narcotic in Wintermark.
Responsibilities
The Seeker of Quietitude is responsible for overseeing the Garden of Peaceful Quietitude and helping to cultivate zaboravi in Wintermark. If the Garden, those who visit it, or those who tend it, were to be threatened, it would be the responsibility of the Seeker to deal with those threats.
Powers
Bounty of Zaboravi
The sinecure provides 12 doses of zaboravi to the Speaker each season, to be used as they see fit.
Appointment
The Seeker is a national position which is appointed by judgement of the Wintermark Assembly.
The Seeker has tenure and serves until they die or step down.. They can be revoked by the General Assembly, the Wintermark Assembly, and the Assembly of the Nine.
