Chaplain of the Roads
Overview
The Chaplain of the Roads is an Imperial title awarded to a citizen of Highguard. The announcement to construct the church was made by Diego i Del Toro i Erigo, as Bearer of an Imperial Wayleave, in Winter 386YE. The Chaplain of the Roads is responsible for the protection of souls travelling on the roads in Highguard.
Responsibilities
The Chaplain of the Roads has a responsibility to protect souls travelling on the roads of Highguard. In addition, if the church or its visitors were to be threatened in any way, it would be the responsibility of the Chaplain to deal with those threats.

The Chaplain of the Roads has custodianship of a sinecure. They receive 12 doses of liao a season.
Appointment
The Chaplain of the Roads is a national position which is appointed by judgement of the Highborn Assembly. Only a citizen of Highguard may hold the title.
The Chaplain has tenure and serves until they die or step down. They can be revoked by the General Assembly, the Highborn Assembly, and the Assembly of the Nine.
