Overview
The Lions of Adelmar were raised by Senate motion proposed by Bohemond de Rondell, then Senator for Astolat, during the Summer Solstice 385YE. Mustering completed shortly before the Spring Equinox 387YE, having been funded in large part by Emperor Vesna Borkovna Prochnost using the Hand of the Chancellor. The incumbent senator for Astolat, Éamon Ashenmourn de Cordraco, named the army after the exemplar Adelmar the Lion and endorsed the army's focus on love.
The fourth Dawnish general leads the Lions of Adelmar army, and is appointed (or re-appointed) at the Winter Solstice each year.
