Ambassadorial Lore

Beoraidh Embassy

There is currently no embassy from Beoraidh, nor an Imperial embassy to the city-state. The Beoradhi seem broadly unconcerned about this, being flattered that they have received an "official ambassdor" from the Empire. There has been some talk in the past of establishing a consulate, but so far nothing has come of it.

Beoraidh Ambassador

Rubhart Kaltrin is responsible for representing the city-state of Beoraidh to the Empire. They are a fairly recent appointment, taking up the post in Spring 388YE in respone to the Senate's decision to appoint an official Ambassador to Beoraidh. Rubhart is one of Ehsan's (many) relatives - a great-nephew as near as the civil service can tell. They have investments across the city, having initially made their money in the salt trade but now having mostly divested their interests and focused on using money to make money.

Ambassadorial Briefing

As discussed in the 388YE Autumn Equinox wind of fortune So little I wanted, so little I got, the civil service have recently reinstituted Ambassadorial briefings. At least in the short term, the civil service have resumed furnishing Imperial ambassadors who are supported by embassy staff with individual briefings where necessary and appropriate. To maintain transparency and preserve continuity, the briefings are made available to those who wish to review them after the summit where they are delivered, in a similar way to which historical research is made public. Only those elements of a briefing that are specifically personal to the ambassador may be removed, and only where they are clearly not of interest to the Empire. At the end of the year, this procedure will be reviewed again, to ensure that it is fit for purpose.

In the absence of an offical embassy - and the civil service staff that support it - the Ambassador to Beoraidh is not in a position to receive official briefings. A short briefing was provided at the Autumn Equinox, but going forward it will not be possible to continue doing so. Ways to address this issue were discussed in the wind of fortune.
