Astral Arcanist
Overview
The Astral Arcanist is an Imperial title appointed by the Conclave. The motion to create the title was brought by Thalia of Netherwatch, as Senator for Redoubt, to the Imperial Senate during the Summer Solstice 386YE. The Astral Arcanist is a position in the Conclave with an expectation to support the magicians of the Empire with information about constellations and tulpas.
Responsibilities
The Astral Arcanist has a responsibility to disperse knowledge about the constellations to Imperial magicians. They are also expected to guide and advise astronomancers through the Astronomancy Symposium. The Astral Arcanist does not have the legal power to prevent any interaction between citizens and constellations or tulpas.
Appointment
The appointment, replacement, or removal of the Astral Arcanist is made by the declaration of candidacy as part of a Conclave session. Any Imperial citizen may hold the title.
The Astral Arcanist serves until they are replaced by another magician using the Declaration of Candidacy. As a title in the Conclave, they cannot be revoked.
