Keeper of the Iron Grove

Overview

The Keeper of the Iron Grove is an Imperial title appointed by the senators of Wintermark. The Keeper has custodianship of the Iron Grove, a garden announced by Wren Ironclaw, as Bearer of an Imperial Wayleave, during the Spring Equinox 386YE. Construction was completed shortly before the 386YE Summer Solstice.

Responsibilities

The Keeper of the Iron Grove has a responsibility to protect the Iron Grove and to ensure the safety of those visiting. If the Iron Grove, or its visitors, were to be threatened it would be the responsibility of the Keeper to deal with those threats.

The Keeper receives an income of herbs each season: 5 drams of bladeroot, 4 drams of true vervain, 4 drams of Imperial roseweald, 3 drams of marrowort and 2 drams of cerulean mazzarine.

Appointment

The Keeper of the Iron Grove is appointed by unanimous decision of the Wintermark senators. If a unanimous decision cannot be reached, the title may be appointed by the Imperial Senate instead.

The title can be held by a Wintermark citizen. The Keeper has tenure, and serves until they die or step down. They can be revoked by the General Assembly, the Wintermark National Assembly, and by the Assembly of the Nine.
