Responsibilities

The Guildmaster of the Artisans has no particular responsibilities. If the Guildhouse of the Artisans were to be threatened in any way, it would be the responsibility of the Guildmaster to deal with those threats.

Powers

Bounty of the Hall

The sinecure provides two measures each of ambergelt, beggar's lye, dragonbone, and iridescent gloaming and two ingots each of green iron, orichalcum, tempest jade, and weltsilver to the Guildmaster each season, to be used as they see fit.

Appointment

The Guildmaster of the Artisans is an Imperial position appointed by the Senate. Any Imperial citizen can hold this title. The Guildmaster of the Artisans serves for a year, and they can be revoked by the General Assembly and by the Assembly of the Nine.

Guildhouse of the Artisans

Established in southern Northspires, in Hahnmark so as to be close to the Runegrott, the Guildhouse of the Artisans serves as a central hub for the Guild of Artisans. It is built in a distinctly Wintermark style - unavoidable given it is constructed on the side of a mountain - being of dark wood with peaked slate roofs. From a distance it might be mistaken for a thane's hall, but close up the distinction is very obvious. The grounds around the Guildhouse incorporate a number of forges, smelters, and smithies that are rarely quiet, with interior spaces given over to looms, crafting benches of all kinds, and places for artisans from across the Empire to meet and talk shop.

At the time of its creation, the Guild of Artisans was an informal sodality - but in Autumn 388YE Emperor Vesna engaged Magistrate Abraham to appraise the implications of their becoming a formal Imperial sodality. If the Senate approves, it is likely the Guildhouse will see a great deal more traffic.
