Change of Doctrine
Judgement 30
- Assembly: General
- Raised By: Skywise Rykana
- Judgement: Orcs are no longer new to The Way, no longer the children of Virtue we were when the Bonewall first enshrined our beliefs in Doctrine. More now look to the Empire and see the chance for a future, and in turn our understanding of our spiritual destiny has expanded. We build now on all that has come before to replace the Doctrine of the Howling Abyss with the Doctrine of the Final Challenge so that we might welcome more into The Way.
- Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (2733-54)
- Notes: This judgement removes the Doctrine of the Howling Abyss and replaces it with the Doctrine of the Final Challenge. The full implications of this change to the Doctrines of the Faith will be felt over the coming months.
The Doctrine of the Final Challenge
Veto
Judgement 158
- Assembly:Navarr
- Raised By: Corey Wayfarer
- Judgement: I call for a Veto of the Senate motion to cede the Last Battle Wayhouse in the Barrens to the Karass. The Karass are not our friends, they were once in favour with the Druj and to allow them to reside in their lands without oversight lacks Vigilance - to cede it now is to leave us a problem later we could avoid.
- Outcome: Not upheld (0-112)
- Notes: Refers to the motion to cede the Last Battle Wayhouse in the Barrens.
Statement of Principle
Judgement 3
- Assembly: Highborn
- Raised By: Ames the Amiable of the Pilgrims Guard
- Judgement: Arlais, Daughter of Mari, plans to build five sinecures at Virtues Rest: four Benefactors, one for each army, and one attached to the Strategos of Highguard. Together producing 48 mana and 16 Orichalcum each season. We seek no materials; those are needed for the Grand Inspiration of the Way. We ask instead for something Highguard possesses in abundance: experience. Our nation holds generations of military knowledge, from soldiers and commanders to chaplains, apothecaries, engineers, quartermasters, and all who sustain an army beyond the battlefield. Arlais intends to break ground in Winter. Help shape the Benefactors Court at Virtues Rest. Tell us what our armies need, where lasting support matters most, and what ingenuity, experience and Virtue might achieve.
- Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (594-0)
Judgement 9
- Assembly: Pride
- Raised By: Aldwyn the Glorious
- Judgement: In order to enter this into imperial record during an inquisition conducted by Jedidiah Boon, Summer 388YE, Lofyn Bloodcloak recounted the miracle that happened when she first put on the Bloodcloak following its recovery from a century of Thule possession. Lofyn Bloodcloak felt the weight of the cloak shift, a small hole had appeared within the lining and within was found the necklace she now wears around which was wrapped the schema which allowed Lofyn to enter the Bloodcloak into Imperial Lore.
- Outcome: Upheld (244-0) (GM threshold 247)
Judgement 11
- Assembly: Vigilance
- Raised By: Haleth Sigeling
- Judgement: The assembly of vigilance condemns the actions of the agents of the Whisper Gallery in Tsirku. Our eyes turn north to the Grave of the Giants, to watch for signs of similar acts by agents of any Eternals acting against the Citizens of the Empire
- Outcome: Withdrawn
- Notes The Throne applied the Custodian of Virtue to this judgement.
Judgement 12
- Assembly: Wintermark
- Raised By: Vidarr Runebound
- Judgement: Nora Falcon's Light, Grimnir and Thane of House Geris has been tireless in her legacy and dedication to the nation of Wintermark. Her efforts supporting our national celebrations have helped bring the nation a great sense of pride, our hearthfire continues to be a beacon in the darkness thanks to Nora's efforts, and she has long fought to bolster ambitions of other Winterfolk, to the betterment of our nation. Nora's work is quiet work that may oft go unsung, but is no less heroic to explore the skein and help guide the skein of others is the Kallavesi way. As such, we the Wintermark Assembly are proud to entre into the Chronicle of Heroes: Nora Falcon's Light.
- Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (314-10)
Judgement 14
- Assembly: Wintermark
- Raised By: Veikko Bondforger
- Judgement: In my power as Keeper of Oaths, I commit the following from Amberlain P. Black, General of the Strong Reeds, the Fire of the Marches, to the Forge of Bonds: Oath from Amberlain to Bregasland People of Bregasland! Queen Fisher and her Jotun masters have fled before our soldiers' might, with and Courage. But there will always be would-be conquerors, Jarls and threats to our land, mark me. The Empire's memory may be short, but Marcher grudges and memories are long - the Reeds will not forget, and WE will never abandon Bregasland again. This I swear before the Fens and Marsh. May this oath of Loyalty be the legacy of the Strong Reeds. Bregasland stands! This is adapted from the Strong Reeds army orders from Summer 385YE
- Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (320 - 0)
Judgement 23
- Assembly: The Way
- Raised By: Mael of the Shattered Tower
- Judgement: Behold: Virtue! As the Marshall of the Faith, I bid ye witness that the following were multiply commended by diverse Field Marshalls and Commanders during the battles at the last summit: Lady Nymeria Mortere, Nicassia of Phoenix Reach, Red Bramble, Artis the Unyielding, Hastur Broken Bough, and the Blades of Adelmar. The Marshal wishes to congratulate long-standing General Dame Aurum de Castellan of the Eastern Sky, The Star of Semmerholm on their retirement. A full list of commendations can be found on the citizen's notices.
- Outcome: Upheld (260 - 10)
Mandate
Judgement 5
- Assembly: General
- Raised By: Alfred Aewulfson-Boon
- Judgement: The Mourn should embrace its past. We send Mine-captain Jedidiah Boon with a dose of true liao to consecrate Rebellion's Ridge and call for change in the Mournwold.
- Outcome: Upheld (1847-360)
- Enacted: Rebellion's Ridge has been conscecrated with true liao to Pride in memory of the Ore Hills Rebels. All personal resources in the Mourn will suffer a two-rank penalty over the coming season due to the disruption, but the mine owners of the Mournwold will elect its next senator.
Judgement 15
- Assembly: Loyalty
- Raised By: Dagon Barossa of the Shattered Tower
- Judgement: The Virtuous build up their fellows. We send Dagon with 25 doses of liao to urge the virtuous to find a way to arrange a meeting with the Lost Weepers. Let us meet and find common ground against the Plenum.
- Outcome: Upheld (396 - 118)
- Not Enacted: No liao provided
Judgement 48
- Assembly: Navarr
- Raised By: Father Dagda
- Judgement: The Virtuous raise up their fellows. Any nation willing to raise arms and join the Vallornguard shall have our full support. We send Father Dagda with 50 doses of liao to lead our people in sharing everything we have with the Imperial Orcs to prepare to finish the fight.
- Enacted: Navarr from all walks of life will travel to the named nation looking for ways to help. This will generate at least one opportunity for a new Imperial title to help the Vallornguard prepare for the fight with the enemy.
Judgement 56
- Assembly: Prosperity
- Raised By: Valour de Gauvain
- Judgement: Let none in our Empire be left without! We send Tren Meals with 25 doses of liao to the Barrens to ensure that all that is worthwhile is shared with those who need it.
- Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (223-0)
- Enacted: Pilgrims will travel to the Barrens to see what can be done. The civil service will assess the efforts of those who make the pilgrimage and present a single opportunity to restore the dignity, freedom and prosperity that the Imperial Constitution guarantees them
Judgement 63
- Assembly: Marcher
- Raised By: Tree
- Judgement: Those who pick the apples get first taste of the cider! We send Basil Goodbeard with 50 doses of liao to declare our intent to be the ones to till the fields of Liathaven, first with the butts of our bills and then with the plough. Strive, toil, and claim the just rewards of your labours.
- Outcome: Upheld (120-30)
- Enacted: This will create an opportunity for the Marchers to focus their efforts on conquering Liathaven once Bregasland is secure. There will be a chance for the nation to break ground on taking the territory from the Jotun, claiming it for the Empire, and stake their claim to it. The mandate does not have any legal impact on the ability of the Senate to assign the territory to any Imperial nation if it were conquered, but it has roused an expectation across the Marches that they'd get first crack at it. While the Marches are staking their claim on the land, they will respect any nation it was assigned to that had been clearly seen to put in as much or more effort into the conquest than the Marchers had. But if the Senate awarded it to a nation that did less work in the campaign than the Marchers, then folks would absolutely be up in arms about it.
Judgement 82
- Assembly: Prosperity
- Raised By: Katya Vasillova Reznikov
- Judgement: Those who strive and toil deserve their just rewards. We send Katya Vasillova Reznikov with 25 doses of liao to encourage those investing in Feroz to sow the seeds of a true garden.
- Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (209-34)
- Enacted: Afarjasse and Oranseri have lost the abandoned quality. All new commissions in Feroz will see their labour costs increased to four crowns a wain until no region in the territory has the impoverished quality.
Judgement 85
- Assembly: League
- Raised By: Rafael Barossa d'Apulian
- Judgement: The Virtuous build up their fellows. We send Rafael Barossa d'Apulian with 25 liao to urge the twin cities of Tassato to reach out to the twin cities of Leen to show them the advantages of becoming part of the greatest alliance of city-states the world has even seen. Let us marry our fates together.
- Outcome: Not Upheld (136-152)
- Notes: This mandate was in competition with Judgement 137
Judgement 103
- Assembly: Freeborn
- Raised By: Lita i Nadir i Riqueza
- Judgement: The Marracossan exiles are friends of the Empire and the Brass Coast. They do not preach their belief in interventionalist gods, and trade respectfully with their neighbours. We send Karg i Estrico i Erico with 25 doses of liao to remind our folk that, while they must remain vigilant for the commitment of a crime, it is not the Freeborn way to try and police what lies within someone's heart.
- Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (108-0)
- Enacted: The Freeborn have been reassured that there is no problem treating with the exiles as they have before. Trade will resume, and while the Marracossans will remain most comfortable in Madruga, there will be no further problems. However, in the event that anyone attempted to arrest a Marracossan exile for their beliefs, or should the Senate, the Synod, or the Military Council move against the exiles within the next ten years, the people of Madruga will resist and oppose such a move as if it were aimed at one of their Freeborn neighbours. The response will be proportional to the threat, and they will expect the Freeborn Assembly to back them up.
Judgement 107
- Assembly: Varushkan
- Raised By: Rosanna Vtrachenich
- Judgement: Tsirku is a wasteland full of dangers, but there is enough there for everyone to seize the opportunity and embrace prosperity. We send Rosanna Vtrachenich with 75 doses of liao to encourage the explorers of the northern nations to make the most of the coming Winter to gather the treasures of Tsirku with the aid of the virtuous.
- Outcome: Upheld (108-60)
- Not Enacted
- Notes: Mandates must achieve a greater majority to have an effect in Varushka.
Judgement 128
- Assembly: Highborn
- Raised By: Jared of the Suns of Couros
- Judgement: Let every word you speak carry meaning! We send Jared of the Suns of Couros with no doses of liao to direct Highborn efforts to promote the Witan. Those who speak Wise words in Counsel inspire us all!
- Outcome: Upheld (436-0)
- Enacted: Highborn citizens will do what they can to support the Witan; the problems identified last season will take precedence.
Judgement 134
- Assembly: Loyalty
- Raised By: Jesper Luukasson
- Judgement: "Let every word you speak carry meaning! We send Jesper Luukasson with 25 doses of liao to direct Highborn efforts to promote the Witan. Those who speak Wise words in Counsel inspire us all! Let the unity of word and deed build a sure foundation for the future!" We seek to use the Eyes of Loyalty to aid this mandate.

- Judgement: Nothing is beyond our grasp. We send Aurelio Sanguineo Rezia di Tassato with 25 doses of liao to urge the Bravos of the League to reach out to the Protectorate of Morajasse to find ways to persuade them of the benefits of a seat at the great game. Even the most impenetrable forest may fall one tree at a time.
- Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (314-10)
- Enacted: The bravos of the League will reach out to the Protectorate of Morajasse to see what could be done to bring them closer to the League
- Notes: This mandate was in competition with Judgement 85
Writ of Consecration
Judgement 57
- Assembly: Vigilance
- Raised By: Ingrid Talon-of-the-Mark
- Judgement: The Beacons of Sermersuaq stand as an enduring symbol of vigilance, calling the faithful to stand watch over our Empire. By this Writ we seek to permanently consecrate the Beacons of Sermersuaq to Vigilance, to bolster every soul standing watch over our lands. Let us with sacred True Liao inspire the faithful there to be as steadfast as the very stone while they guard against any who would threaten our halls, our laws, our virtue.

Sanction
Judgement 7
- Assembly: Pride
- Raised By: Jedidiah Boon
- Judgement - Vindication: Lofyn Bloodcloak, you have committed yourself to the path of Pride. Along it, you have found what all Pilgrims do; the obstacles of other's doubts, the weight of your own mistakes, the blood that soaks the roads beyond Anvil's safety. Your Inspiration is written in your people's Chronicle, in the Regalia you passed to your successors. Your Legacy is to be decided by those who survive you - whether in the Schema that shares your name or the diplomatic affairs you now commit yourself to - but there is no doubt it will endure. You have shown Benevolence in your Oaths to Semmersuaq and your battle against the Jotun. The True Liao you have earned will tell us more about your soul. We live in an age of Miracles; the Schema was revealed to you by the Bloodcloak placed on your shoulders, calling your soul to an item of great worth. Something beyond our understanding occurred; declare it, lest such Miraculous events be lost to legend alone.
- Outcome: Upheld (206-0)
Judgement 8
- Assembly: Varushkan
- Raised By: Father Drakov
- Judgement - Penance: I've examined your Virtue Sigismund. Courage - Only you stood for Field Marshall but it failed in battle. Prosperity - Your Anointing. Vigilance? - With only 6 Auxiliaries & 60 less citizens than expected you accepted no more runners worrying about Druj tricks. Ambition - Let you to stand before Military Council & Senate owning your mistakes, not excusing or hiding them. We build up, not tear down, so your Penance is as follows; 1) A Pilgrimage of Penance to Dawn, Highguard, League, Marches, Urizen & Varushka and Testimony from each National Assembly. 2) Military Council & Anvil Library get detailed recommendations so others don't repeat your mistakes 3) Sashes to mark those in command 4) Not seeking field command for 2 years 5) A priest by your side in battle & an Ambition Anointing for 3 years to guard your Virtue. These are the consequences of your actions, Vigilance not Vengeance.
- Outcome: Upheld (192-38)
Judgment 16
- Assembly: Wisdom
- Raised By: Elagabala
- Judgement - Vindication: By his own admission, Brat Umbral Path is immensely dangerous, and capable of enacting immense harm very quickly and very effectively. I laud this, and acknowledge how it can and ought to strengthen our Empire. I raise it also a warning - that the experts and strategists of this Empire are always best placed to harm it. Brat embodies the point at which the virtue of Ambition meets the realm of Night - driven, cunning, subtle, manipulative, with strong intuition. He is extraordinarily well placed to be the Empire's expert in Night, and convey it to the Empire and the Empire to it. The Wise ought act as the Volhov teaches, and investigate him and that which surrounds him, to witness his triumph, and to disabuse this Empire of notions of threat. I welcome his oath to yearly inquisition, that we might understand him and his realm as it transforms. He will be a virtuous archmage - thus I vindicate him.

- Judgement - Vindication: High Exorcist Dame Belmarie de Courtnay-Wildrose. I look upon your work and find it Virtuous - and Virtue deserves lauding. You have learned much through your work, in your successes and more importantly in your failures. You have learned how to rely not only on your own strength, but the strength of others. You know there will come a time when the mantle will pass and you prepare the next generation of exorcists as best you can. There is always danger, always another threat - a threat you are more than equipped to face. It may be difficult - but raise your chin, Belmarie. You have earned it.

Judgement 4
- Assembly: Pride
- Raised By: Astrid Fjellrevening Rezia di Tassato
- Judgement: Lorenzo 'La Volpe' Macelliao von Temeschwar was Prosperous. He was Ambitious. But Pride is the virtue he held closest in his heart, and most clearly embodied in his life's work. He celebrated his successes, proclaimed his past and his home boldly in all his actions, and uplifted his nation and his Empire. Benevolence: The Empire benefits to this day from his works. The Blood Red Roads may be the biggest endeavour, now feeding the Empire's coffers directly in support of the Vallornguard. But citizens past and present in a dozen territories have personally benefited from his works in coin, mana and liao. Legacy: A dozen Great Works exist across the Empire, that he funded, designed and built. These Great Edifices Proudly display his name, his guild, and his history, reminding us we should be Proud of where we come from and our achievements. Inspiration: Even in life, the League Assembly named him an Inspiration, leading to the Colissus of Sarvos' True Consecration as a Sacred Site in his honour. Travellers flock to Sarvos to see this wondrous sight and experience The Partner of Greatness for themselves. To this day, his name is synonymous with grand benevolent works. Pilgrimage: His great works included travelling the Empire to map and build the Blood Red Roads; the Legacies of Virtue, grand edifices to uplift And Inspire the virtuous in each of the territories they were built in, from Hahnmark to Casinea; as well as several Cathedrals to Pride. This make clear his journey not only to personal Virtue, but The Way as a pillar of that journey for all citizens. This assembly Recognises Lorenzo as an Exemplar of Pride.
- Outcome: Upheld with a Greater Majority (288-0)
- Notes: The Tribune will raise a judgement in the General Assembly at the Winter Solstice on behalf of Astrid Fjellrevening Rezia di Tassato
Judgement 118
- Assembly: General
- Raised By: Erasmo di Tassato
- Judgement: Olwyn / Olwynn the Witness was recognised as an exemplar of Pride in Winter 376YE - the season immediately after the death of Britta. No details of Olwynn's life or signs of recognition are recorded in the public civil service records. It is not listed which signs of recognition were met. Last season, the General Assembly agreed that Exemplars are "those who Synod have agreed are the best examples for teaching the Way of Virtue". With no information to teach, Olwynn the Witness is not suited to be recognised as an Exemplar of the Way."
- Outcome: Not upheld (365-106)
- Notes: Olwyn the Witness remains an exemplar of Pride

The destruction was prepared for alone and funded out of pocket for the protection, betterment, and Prosperity of the souls Volodmartz, who stood endangered by this active threat. Their actions stand as prefect examples of the hallowings of Permion, Inga Tarn, and Isaella's Resolve - to fear not death, and to confront and defeat dangers, for they knew it was the right thing to do.

- Judgement: Claude Deeds discovered that the ghost of Theodric Mooting, the legendary scop of Wintermark, had been trapped at the threshold of Sydanjaa for more than three hundred years, unable to pass through the Labyrinth. Claude led a band to Warriors Gate to free Theodric's soul so he could pass through the Labyrinth. She heard the scop's final tale. Heroes of Wintermark were able to recover his last remains - his drum - and so laid him to rest in Kallavesa. This quest was the result of years of research on Claude's part including careful negotiation with the Winter realm, incurring much personal cost. We reward Claude 10 thrones for her Virtuous deeds: her Wise discoveries, her Loyalty to a legend.

- Judgement: We seek to reward Reynard, Envoy to the Karass 10 Thrones for dissemination to the Karass sept. This season they provided one sixth of the assistance towards rescuing the Great Forest Orcs enslaved by the Druj. This effort would not have rescued from both territories without that aid. They did so despite being informed they were no obligation to assist and there would be no reprisals if they did not, and did so with no reward offered or expected. Irrespective of what we may think of the Karass, our Virtue suggests we acknowledge Prosperity to recompense their labour and acknowledge their Courage.
