Overview

The Senate governs the Empire, and its authority extends to all areas of Imperial life not already covered by the other houses of government. Each summit the senators meet several times to deliberate and vote on the motions they have raised.

After the summit, the civil service enacts those motions and ensures a public record of each is made available to the citizens of the Empire. This page lists all the motions raised during the summit, along with the announcements made by citizens with Imperial titles. In each case, the motion and its effects are summarised, including the wording, who proposed and seconded it, whether it passed or not, whether any funds were disbursed to support it, and what the outcome of the motion will be.

Many motions (especially the commissions) also have a Further Details section that provides a link to a wiki page dealing specifically with that motion in more detail, any commentary from the Constitutional Court, progress on commissions, or expanded information about the outcome of the motion.

Administrative Motions

Amend Master of Works

• Motion: To amend the Master of Works to be able to commission one fortification and separately to upgrade one fortification each season
• Raised by: Speaker of the Senate at the Friday session
• Outcome: Failed
• Note: The amendment last season was unclear about whether Master of Works could make two separate commission announcements in a single season. If this motion is passed, they will be able to build a new fort and upgrade a fort, using two of the Senate's limited commissions. If it fails, the Master of Works will be able to either build a new fort or upgrade an existing one, but not both.

• Announcement: The Imperial Master of Works announces the commencement of the upgrade of the fortification called the Palace of Apulian in Spiral, which will become the Palace of Mists at a cost of 80 white granite and 240 crowns. As well as improving the fortification, it will additionally make an attack from the sea significantly more difficult and increase the taxation from the territory by five thrones a season

• Announcement: As Chair of the Wolf I invite the inestimable Holberg College of Engineering to bring Katarzyna von Carstein's designs to life as the Great Publishers' Clearing House. Thanks to funding from the six great guilds of Tassato: the Camorra Barossa, the Gilded Horn, Jolly Jackdaws, Oathwright Press, the Silver Rivers Casino, and my own carta, the Printers' Guild. This great work in Tassato Mestra shall assure the illuminated city of Tassato as the printing capital of the world. Its custodian, Printmaster of the Publishers' Exchange, shall be appointed by League Bourse Auction

Construct Sakari's Legacy

• Announcement: I call on Adamant's Aid in constructing Sakari's Legacy, a fortification in Anduzjasse, Segura. With this boon, the fortification will be of rank two, take only four seasons to construct, and will be unbreakable. Costing 180 white granite and labour costs.

Construct Bears Rest

• Announcement: The Legion Engineer will construct Bears Rest, a mana sinecure in Northspires, Hahnmark for ten wains of mithril and 30 crowns of labour. The title of Steward of Bears Rest will be chosen by unanimous decision of the Wintermark senators and be responsible for collecting the mana that flows down the river from the melting glacier upstream.

Assign Regalia to Keeper of the Study

• Announcement: To assign the artefact The Mask of the Mourn to the title of the Keeper of the Study. The mask's purpose is to support landskeepers in ritual casting on farms in the Marches - the same responsibility as the Keeper holds. The mask bears a true, spontaneous, Prosperity aura.

Refine Dancer's Rest

• Motion: We ask the Songbirds to improve the Dancer's Rest in Miaren. We request that the artists cover the walls and surrounding environment of Dancer's Rest with inspirational art which may be added to and developed by anyone who visits. The art should depict Virtuous symbols, inspirational figures, as well as allotting space for those who visit Dancer's Rest to share their experience. Ideally, the artworks begun this season will continue to develop and grow. Art should educate, inspire, and heal.
