Election schedule

Overview

Most Imperial positions are elected yearly on a rolling schedule, for instance if a nation has three senators they will each be elected in a different season. Unless death, misfortune or the Synod intervene, the schedule is as follows:

Synod

All Cardinals, excluding the Assembly of The Way, have the right to appoint a member of their assembly as Gatekeeper on their selection.

Conclave

Archmage

The appointment, replacement or removal of an Archmage is made by the declaration of candidacy The archmage serves until another magician takes the title, or another archmage is appointed in the Conclave.

Dean of the Lyceum

The appointment, replacement or removal of the Dean is made by the declaration of candidacy The Dean serves until another magician takes the title, or another Dean is appointed in the Conclave.

Other

The holders of some Imperial titles are selected to serve until death, revocation, or they wish to step down, and are not subject to yearly re-election. For example holders of a sinecure.
